…die hard?

That’s what the conventional wisdom says. And the wisdom accumulated in proverbs and sayings most of the time is accurate. Not as a 100% statistical truth but rather as a guideline in life.

There was a time when I made a living by writing columns telling my personal opinion about politics, events, people etc. As a journalist I was paid exactly for that – to present a unique and personal view on what was going on in the public sphere. I have to confess, I enjoyed it very much.

Those times are long gone, however, quite often I feel an urge to sit down and write a blog post about things that I experience or events and news items I learn about. Then I realize this is not my job anymore and I wouldn’t want to become just another blogger that rants about everything. It is time to move on.
